Thank-you Grandma and Grandpa Trochesset, we love our dresses!
More pictures to come later, after I recoupe :)
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

is done. . . . and I keep waiting for the fireworks. Instead there has been no spectacular hallmark, just a quiet night and a casual new morning.
This morning all four of us went out to do chores, and we crunched through the snow iced earth to feed the horses. I only fell once, compared to our younger ones umpteenth fall's and John's 0. The older one decided it was best to play dogie and crawl across the icy snow on all floors, she is one smart cookie.
They look so happy - their last pepperoni bagel bites (thanks to Aunt Julie and Uncle Mat, we raided their freezer for a quick meal), in our kitchen.
